Reduction in Oil Wastage and excessive power consumption
Problem - Oil Wastage and excessive power consumption: Cutting oil carried by the finished thread bars was dispersed by a high-velocity, pneumatic pressurized air flow at the unloading point of each of the 40+ thread rolling machines. This method spread the oil and consumed two compressor worth energy
Solution - By replacing the energy-intensive pneumatic air blowing pipes with simple collection trays made out of 1mm tin ,at the thread bar unloading stand, we achieved three key savings:
Eliminated Oil Wastage: Captured all cutting oil.
Saved Power: Discontinued the pneumatic system, saving approximately 3 lac+ KWH of air compressor power.
Reduced Labor: Eliminated casual labor costs for cleaning oil spills.
Result: Total annual savings exceed 76+ Lakhs
